Deep Tissue & Sports Therapy

Deep tissue and sports therapy in London for muscular tension and recovery. Targeted, goal-based sessions at our Mayfair clinic (W1K).

About Deep Tissue & Sports Therapy

Deep tissue and sports therapy is a focused, hands-on treatment for muscular tension and the demands of training or work. Unlike a relaxation massage, the session concentrates on specific areas and uses firm, targeted techniques to ease tightness and support recovery.

It is well suited to people who train regularly, have physically demanding jobs or spend long hours at a desk. At our Mayfair clinic we start by understanding your routine and symptoms, then tailor pressure and techniques to you, with advice on stretching and recovery between sessions.

How it Works

We talk about your symptoms, training or workload and agree the areas to focus on.

Firm, specific techniques are applied to tight muscles and connective tissue, always adjusted to your comfort.

We suggest stretches and recovery habits, and how often to book based on your goals.

Who is it for?

  • People who train regularly or play sport
  • Anyone with muscle tightness from work or posture
  • Those who want targeted work rather than relaxation only
  • People recovering from minor sports strains
  • Adults aged 18 and over in good general health

We adapt the pressure to you, so sessions are firm but never beyond what feels right.

Quick answers to questions you may have

No. It is a targeted treatment that focuses on specific areas of tension. Many people still find it relaxing, but the aim is function and recovery.

Some tenderness for a day or two is normal, similar to after a workout. Gentle movement, hydration and a warm shower can help.

It depends on your goals. Some people book around key training periods, others every few weeks for maintenance. We will suggest a rhythm that suits you.

Many of our clients come to us with neck, shoulder and upper back tension from desk work, and targeted treatment combined with posture advice can help ease it.

Light activity is fine, but we recommend avoiding intense training for 24 hours after a deep session.

Comfortable clothing. You will be draped with towels, and only the area being treated is uncovered.
